The Monsterverse did Kong wrong.

Before I start, I’m not mad Kong lost. This isn’t about that. I accept Kong lost. He fought hard and got to kill mecha G. This is about the monsterverse as a whole.
I have been feeling for a while that King Kong is basically an afterthought in the monsterverse. Godzilla stands at center stage and always got the cool things. Godzilla got to save the world, Godzilla grit to fight all the cool monsters, Godzilla is the key to balance in the monsterverse. What the hell is Kong? I’m saying this as a Kong fan, Kong did nothing. He is nothing compared to Godzilla. I love Kong, but they didn’t seem to care to even try. Many people seem to even forget he was part of the monsterverse in the first place. 
Kong got one movie where he was a child and fought a skull crawler. 1 comic where he did nothing again and only showed up in a few pages. Godzilla fought shinonuma, MUTOs,MUTO Prime, and King Ghidorah! Kong got a measly Skull crawler and a Camazot which we haven’t even seen yet because the comic isn’t out yet despite being a prequel comic to GvK. The comic meant to build Mong up for GvK didn’t even release yet and GvK is out. Especially going into a big Vs movie, I’m supposed to feel both are equal. Both can take it. I didn’t feel that because the last time I saw Kong do anything worthwhile, he was a child. The opening pretty much confirmed that when they showed all the Godzilla highlights and titans he defeated, and then went on to show only on highlight for Kong because that’s all he has. 
They should have built Kong up more for this fight. This is supposed to be two power Kings going at it. They should have given Kong another movie. If movies are too expensive, then more comics. Kong should have had more titans fights under his belt before this, Kong should have had his own King ghidorah to conquer. He should have had comics where he fights huge titans. Kingdom Kong is too little too late. 
GvK was good and I had a blast. Kong was great and Adam did a great job. I just feel Kong should have had more feats and weight before going into this movie. Kong should have felt as important as Godzilla going in. It feels that Godzilla is the monsterverse, and it should’nt have. It should feel that Kong and Godzilla are the monsterverse. GvK had Kong be the best part of the movie, the heart of it. Only time I felt Kong actually mattered now that I think about it. I should have felt that sooner rather than now because it’s too late.

And Kong got to fight more monsters, but you do have a good point. Maybe Kingdom Kong will do him justice.

I feel like if they can keep the monsterverse alive, they need to give some type of improvement to Kong. Whether it is grew bigger, stronger or whatever the case may be. That way he's truly a titan that can figth against godzilla level monsters by himself without much help from the humans. Or go in a crazy direction with Kong having a son, that grows bigger than the father because he was born and raised in hollow earth where the he's exposed from radiation everyday. Making his more strong, bigger, more savage and get the crown of King Kong. Also do you think the event of pangea happening on the monsterverse would be awesome?

They should have done that beforehand Panell is what I wanted. They are not going to make another GvK in the monsterverse and if anything it will be one final Godzilla movie I’m betting. There are rumors of a skull Island show, but I don’t think we will see Kong fight big monsters in it. I think they are just done with Kong after this. 
And do you mean the creation of the super continent? I don’t think it will happen as that isn’t something that just happens at random. Not even a titan could cause the continents to collide.

Also Kong is a primate, primates were not around during Pangea's creation (Late Carboniferous period) nor its break up (Early Jurassic).

You guys are right, but I disagree on the last movie for godzilla. I mean if they renew the contract with toho that means they're gonna go all out and the main pieces are Godzilla and Kong. Now for the pangea, I still think it could be possible I mean the hollow earth exist, then there could be a kaiju that can manipulate the tectonic plates or the humans while exploring the hollow earth could trigger it to happen. Still, it is very unlikely that it happens but would be interesting, to say the least. For Kong, if they planned to continue the monsterverse they have to do some serious upgrade on him if he want to go toe to toe with destroyah, Spacegodzilla or mechaghidora

Random Fact: Only certain types of faults create tsunamis. (Earthquakes are not the only cause.) The fault in question is called a subduction zone. The west coast of the US has one called Cascadia. This Subduction Zone has the potential to unleash a 9.0 Magnitude Earthquake. These are the same as the 2004 Indian Ocean one and 2011 Japanese Earthquakes which changed the axis of the earth! While Japan was prepared for the earthquake, The US is not. And Japan was super undprepared for the tsunami, think about how unprepared the Us is

Great info @Hinikunagoji I mean it could add up to the story. Muto Prime last appeared fighting Dagon, after there's no trace of him. Could be in hollow earth and for the earthquakes the technology in the monsterverse is super advanced and can be prepared for it. But this option is better think of the pangea event like the snap of thanos.

If by some miracle, legendary see this topic with the Pangea and how you make it possible for a titan to manipulate tectonic plates. I wish they incorporate Zilla and jaegers to make humans a little more relevant. What do you think about that
