SpaceGodzillaAdmin21915 XPJan-30-2013 2:45 PMTeam GhidorahHahahaha Woah! Warn us next time GodzillaSays! The movie could be ruined now! XD Haha

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJan-31-2013 3:48 PMDue to the recent interview with Frank Darabont. It's safe to assume that the plot may be similar to the original in terms of the tone and underlying plot. He's bringing Godzilla's greatest characteristic of all back: a force of nature and nuclear disaster.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJan-31-2013 10:08 PMDarabont also said that this new Godzilla would be focusing on themes that are relevant to today. It could reflect upon the 2012 Japanese radiation leak. The theme could be is that no matter how reliant we are on nuclear power, the benefits it gives us can by no means be more important then the consequential impacts it can have on our environment.

Mothra LarvaeMember2 XPFeb-08-2013 6:35 PM...there is a good chance that this Godzilla...can swim. yelp.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPFeb-08-2013 9:39 PM@GOD_zilla0113 , I actually hope they set it up that way, that would be an awesome way to update the story without it straying to far from the original

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPFeb-10-2013 2:16 PMAfter the Godzilla 2014 movie, will there be another set/series of movies?

monster king 79

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPFeb-21-2013 10:02 AMthe plot should be godzilla is awakened by global warming and mutatedl by atomic bombs you kill 2 birds with one stone a metaphore for atomic missiles and the warming climate earth's facing. and his adversary monsters can *** from that same atomic bomb test. as far as weather or not there will be more after this movie it depends on how it's received.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPFeb-22-2013 12:42 PMI don't care what the plot is just aslong as they try and get some of the original cast back and also they continue it from the first film They need to keep the them otherwise it will be completly ruin they need to make it a franchise Original cast and orignal storyline start the film from the remaining egg in madison square garden Also dont envolve king kong like the classic because then it will be going fantasy from reality and no movie should be that way really excited about this film so please please please dont ruin it as the first film was perfectly scripted.

SpaceGodzillaAdmin21915 XPFeb-25-2013 10:54 AMTeam GhidorahFor me, I just want a serious Godzilla film, like the first one. Thankfully, this is the route they seem to be taking. Of course, I also want to see some Monster brawls, but my main hopes are that they focus heavily on Godzilla and less so on a love story between two people. Have a balanced mix of people / Godzilla footage and I'll be a happy camper.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPMar-09-2013 1:56 PMToo much human story makes me....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

SpaceGodzillaAdmin21915 XPMar-09-2013 2:02 PMTeam GhidorahAgreed, I'm very much against overbearing human love stories in a Godzilla flick. However, human back story is crucial, especially to a reboot of the classic Godzilla, there needs to be that happy balance between Monster rampages and military incompetence. Makes for an enjoyable experience.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPMar-12-2013 11:01 AMi feel as if this movie needs to go back to its old roots, back to 1954. when we all witnessed the metaphor of destruction, the weapon of god, the reaper himself, terrorize helpless people. it needs to show a lot of the monster action but at the same time show how this affected the people and how helpless they become. that will really revive the series. but not only show the destruction of cities but show how a monster of such proportions can be a neutrally good factor. or maybe how godzilla is just trying to defend himself. like in GvD. he did everything to protect himself and his son. pretty much me need the metaphor of destruction, sympathy for the people, (no love story or struggle between different individuals) and a difficulty for godzilla himself that brings him to the brink of death. one that actually shows a lesson that we could all learn from. as a long time godzilla nerd ive learned a lot from godzilla. i think others should have the experience of learning from such a visual

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPMar-14-2013 3:33 PMi hope this movie turns out being really good. The last Godzilla with Matthew Broderick was kind of corny but i still liked it. I hope this one shows more of the actual creature, it will tide me over until the next Jurassic Park comes out!!!!!

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPMar-20-2013 6:58 PMThe move should have a simple plot. After the bombs had been tested, Godzilla awakes from slumber and rises up. Destroying cities and killing people. Soon the military from Japan and The United States has been attacking the monster with all of their forces and power. Nothing seems to be working. Godzilla leaves and heads back into the ocean where the monster has to fight of the the U.S navy. He quickly destroys them and heads off into the depths of the ocean. A week later, other monsters attack whatever city. And destroy almost most of it. As the monsters make so much disaster, Godzilla hears the disturbances and encounters the other giant monsters, Godzilla quickly realizes these other monsters are threats. And Godzilla goes an all out battle with the 2 monsters, and humanity in the way..

Mothra LarvaeMember4 XPMar-30-2013 9:41 PMI can't wait to see how everything we've heard so far about the new movie comes together. We've heard that Gareth Edwards wants to create a film grounded in reality including how we would react if this were really happening. We've heard that Godzilla will be returning to his serious roots including destroying cities. I'm curious as to how the additional monsters that he fights come into play. Are they also awakened by nuclear testing? I hope there is a scene in that movie, perhaps an extra in the end credits, where Godzilla travels the globe and blows up a crackpot from North Korea.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPMay-10-2013 2:58 PMMy wishlist for the Plot: -Do not make it yet ANOTHER direct sequel to Gojira/Godzilla 1954. -Make this the start of a Kaiju Cinematic Universe, with Godzilla as the key to an Age of Giant Monsters. -Make Godzilla the Main focus of the film, the human characters should help us get info from him and other important etc. -Since Darabont will have Godzilla based on a current contemporary issue, have Godzilla's origins being a surviving dinosaur mutated from Radiation leaked from the Japanese Nuclear Plant Incident. -Don't make Godzilla a Villain, being a Force of Nature is good because its along the lines of an Anti-Hero. Both of Godzilla's foes on this should be the Villains. -Have references to the Toho Godzilla Franchise. Since Takarada is already making a cameo, maybe have homages to Gojira, like have Godzilla attack a ship in the opening, crush and stomp trains, and even popping his head out of a hill or Mountain.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPMay-14-2013 1:16 PMi heard they are going to focus alot on a soldier i just hope he doesnt take up like 75% of the screen time. there might be a romance in it as well. i cant wait for this movie this and jurassic park 4 are my 2 most anticipated movies.
KING KAIJU 1 small step for kaiju 1 giant step for godzilla!!!!

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPMay-15-2013 4:29 PMjust dont make him run away from things or die and i will be happy

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPMay-18-2013 4:49 AMHaving Godzilla go on a rampage through japan before moving to the US and facing off against an even bigger monster (which he defeats) would be cool. Japan earthquake/tsunami and subsequent radiation leak would be a good basis for him appearing. 100% faith in darabont to be honest... Bryan Cranston as Dr. Serizawa fingers crossed.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPMay-18-2013 2:18 PMI think that the radiation leak would be the ideal starting point for how Godzilla became GODZILLA. I think that the will pay a little homage to the original. I do not want a love story or a monster that runs away all the time. And as long as they stray as far away from the 98 movie as possible I will be completely happy.

Gojira 2000

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPMay-18-2013 2:48 PMthey said his origin might have to do with the recent japan nuclear leak

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPMay-19-2013 12:31 AMTaco Lauko › I agree

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPMay-28-2013 8:54 PMMaybe like this,The 1st ATOMIC bomb tested in rebirth island were godzilla and the other monsters live in there.....then a dinosaur named giganotosaurus mutated in the Atomic bomb Then the dinosaur turns to Gigantis!!!!

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJun-15-2013 5:25 AMI agree mr.taco sir i wanna walk out the theater may16th and say that was a gewd movie and i think in my mind that the irony of humanity is the americans made something too kill the japanese and the same weapon that killed the japanese made the americans demise swaggy

Chuck Norris

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJun-18-2013 6:51 AMMabye Godzilla was mutated by the atom bombs dropped on hiroshima and nagasaki in 1945?

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJun-19-2013 4:17 PMIt'll probably be the sequel to Pacific Rim. The water's dried up and you the glowing fault line. Hint, hint!

"By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power. But they lie! They do not fulfill that promise. They never will! Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people."

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJun-23-2013 8:56 PMI fully agree with Taco Lauko. I have been a long time Godzilla fan . I think they should bring the old roots back, like in 1954.

SpaceGodzillaAdmin21915 XPJul-13-2013 4:23 PMTeam GhidorahUPDATED - I have now updated the first post to this topic with the current, official Godzilla 2014 plot synopsis, which was confirmed today here in light of Godzilla's presence at San DIego Comic-Con.
