Today we received our advanced preview copy of the upcoming official art book for Godzilla vs. Kong titled Godzilla vs. Kong: One Will Fall - The Art of the Ultimate Battle Royale and with permission we're debuting some of the book's many exciting contents! Below is our first of many previews, highlighting the creatures of Hollow Earth and much more.
Scaly Quadruped
This Scaly Quadruped (the official name given to this Hollow Earth creature) was designed by Matt Allsopp and Justice Joseph. The idea behind this particular creature was that it might have been an evolutionary ancestor to Godzilla, or a distant cousin. According to the art book, this Protozilla eats the giant Rock-Crab creatures which also inhabit the Hollow Earth!
You can see in concept, this creature, like Godzilla, had glowing blue spines, but no mention of whether or not it could conjure up atomic breath as well:
We've got a few more previews to share with you, but since these images are very large we're not going to post them all in one article, as it would cause lag for those without the best internet connection. Check back soon for our next preview and while you wait, consider ordering yourself a copy!
