After a nearly two month wait for a second trailer, a great deal of new images and a smattering of TV spots, the next full length trailer for Godzilla Resurgence has finally been released. And it does seem to confirm a purple atomic ray--Or at least the powering up of one.
Featuring Godzilla under heavy military fire (and not giving a rats petunia) the new trailer features even more new shots of the King of the Monsters invading Japan. Take a look:
The hype machine for the movie is at full steam ahead in Japan right now and more fans across the pond wish it were being released here at the same time. We continue to wait for more news on a North American release (of any kind) as Japan preps for the latest chapter in the Godzilla franchise.

I like that Toho has dialogue free trailers so that the plot isn't revealed too much. Keep the movie free of too many plot points. I want to be surprised. I like how Godzilla is getting peppered and it just keeps on moving like nothing. Love the atomic breath color. Awesome movie. I can't wait to watch it.
Well, it's certainly a sight to behold, Panthalassan. As we see, the JSDF focuses all their firepower on what would be considered points of vulnerability on Godzilla's body, the face and the legs, and yet they do NOTHING.
The visuals are what I was hoping for from a Japanese-made Godzilla. Especially the low angle shots, the wide, panoramic views and that one with Godzilla glowing red in the distance. The trailer looks simply stupendous. This is great work on the part of all concerned and involved.
no tongue in his mouth... much like a fish.. this explains the jaw structure and the teeth... more aquatic in that aspect. great view of the inside of his mouth. they want you to truly see that he has been hurt badly by something. I would say that what we're being shown is not his true image.. but the aftermath of a tragedy.. and Godzilla is the victim.
Agreed, Ufoanaut. That's my main problem with the trailer - on top of the attempt to connect us with what seems to be TOO many human characters. The tie better be good. Otherwise, if this movie is a bunch of poorly acted dialog amongst a long line of human characters you don't really have time to care about...
Don't get me wrong - I'm REALLY happy and excited that this is coming. And the announcement of NA distribution makes me breath MUCH easier. I just wanted a little more. Maybe a lot me. I'm just left unsatisfied with these trailers. I don't blame them. I just got my hopes up too much, I guess. :(
Hm from what i can tell this will be the *Strongest Atomic Breath* I'm guessing the Red spiral ray needed a upgrade Maybe they would call it the Purple spiral ray possible i don't know but this will be a cool new feature for Godzilla.
has anyone considered this.. regarding his atomic breath... mind you.. this is my theory but extreme electrical lightning flashes purple or at least appears purple/violet in color.. and has the highest concentration of voltage... enough too melt steel.. and when you combine that with sea salt which can be used to make highly corrosive acid and produce electricity too.. throw in radiation... take his tongue out of the way.. give him a long tail that sweeps low to the ground creating static electricity and and have him take a deep breath.. then exhale/discharges and HOLY SMOKES... FIRE FROM HELL.. should be awesome . Just a theory though.
that rib cage.. man.. that's truly odd looking. its as though there should be more flesh covering it.. perhaps he was hit by a nuclear blast.. mainly on his upper body and we're not seeing him in fullness of body... that might explain his bowling pin shape as some have said... and as for his legs.. they are swollen from being burned. I personally think.. that someone tried to kill him with a nuke.. and failed.. then he made a trip to Japan just because it was the closest land.. and is injured and confused and clearly a victim. Just another theory.
