I have been trying to tell this to oblivious fans who think that monsters like Megalon and Hedorah are going to make it into the movie, but they never seem to stay up-to-date on the news.

I found this out at G-fest. Toho asks for more money if an outside company wishes to use their kaiju, even Godzilla. Godzilla being the most popular they will be ok with lending him over, but the other kaiju no. You best be a billionaire before asking for the others like Gigan or Ghidora. Besides, I like the idea of using brand new monsters not seen before. It has potential for new ideas in the abilities they have over Godzilla or ways they can attack him or humans.
