MemberMothra LarvaeDec-22-2013 1:25 PMokay, if you dont agree with the title, leave now.if you do, stick around. so if you watch the beggining of final wars we see a snippet of the scene at the end of godzilla vs. destroyah. and we see it fade into the new godzilla. could jr. be the godzilla in final wars? could the godzilla we see at the beggning be a more evolved jr.? let me know what you think down below.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-22-2013 1:42 PMHard to explain.
They are same size but ive never seen a godzilla getting thinner.I do agree with you because of his fighting techniques:
In GvD we see junior fighting the crab form of destoroyah in a same moving way like he did in final wars handling king ceasar and monster X

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-22-2013 2:07 PMi think its sopposed to an updated version of the 60's-70's godzilla. i dont remember godzilla jr leaping into the air doing crazy fighting moves when fighting destroyah

AdminGodzillaDec-22-2013 3:15 PMThe Godzilla in Final Wars is not Godzilla Jr. from Godzilla vs. Destroyah. How would that make any sense?
Godzilla Jr. didn't grow up until Godzilla vs. Destroyah which took place in 1995. The Godzilla in Final Wars was trapped in the ice in the 1960s and didn't wake up until 2004. So there's no way it could possibly be Junior.
EDIT: I know the wiki page says the battle at the beginning of Final Wars took place in 2004 and the rest of the movie takes place in 2044... I'm not sure where that came from though. I followed Final Wars as it was being made and remember a lot being made out of the "1960s scene" during the time of its production. I'm sticking with the 1960s-2004 timeline.

AdminGodzillaDec-22-2013 11:17 PMThere's nothing to agree with in regards to the title. The title is a question and a question is resolved by an answer. If you just wanted a lot of people to say "yes" then you shouldn't have made the thread at all. There's no point in starting a conversation if you just want to invite a bunch of people that say "yes" over and over.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-23-2013 4:13 AMNah, Godzilla Junior and GodzillaFW are from two separate timelines. GodzillaFW was frozen in the 60s and was reanimated in the 2000s, Junior came to be in the 1990s.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-23-2013 1:07 PM@ THEGOJIMAN54 - You are kind of an idiot.
A title that is a question is asking for an answer. Telling those with an answer that you don't want to hear to stay away is pointless and voids the title altogether.
You have terrible communication skills my friend.
If you wanted those who don't think it's Jr. to stay away, you should have made the title something like this: "If you think Godzilla from FW is Jr. from GvD, explain why." You could then ask in your opening description for those who don't think it's Jr. to not post because you want this to be a thread where those who suppor the Jr. theory can freely debate the topic with their different verisons of the theory.
As it stands, you're asking everyone to answer the title and then asking for only one kind of answer right afterwards. Hypocritical? I think so.
Also, this is a public thread on a public website. You have no right try and bar people from answering just because you might not like the answer. If you wanted only "yes" answers, you should have posted this thread on a different website where you have moderative control over who's posts can be seen and which ones can't. You'll never stop anyone from answering so long as everyone has access to the thread.
I don't think it's Jr, and there's nothing you can do to stop me from explaining why.
Godzilla from Final Wars, to me, is its own creature. The footage shown when Godzilla was on ice was nothing more than a nostalgic montage of stock footage. It was in no way there to imply that the previous Godzilla films took place during the Final Wars continuity. There is a difference, and stock footage does not always equal past events within that timeline. The 1970's Godzilla movies are proof of that with all the stock footage they used.
Also, the existence of Minilla and the Gotengo itself are evidence to the contrary. Minilla and Jr. do not exist in the same timeline nor continuity. The Gotengo is also known as the Atragon from the 1963 film of the same name. Gotengo is just the Western name for the ship outside of Japan. Judging by how young the american was during the films opening sequence (as shown in his flashback), the fight between Godzilla and the Gotengo must have taken place at least 30 years before the events of FW. The film was set in 2004, so when was that fight? At the latest, the 1970's.
So if you want to keep these kinds of comments away because you don't like them, communicate it more clearly next time.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-26-2013 9:12 PMI think jr is godzilla 2004 because of the scene, original story, and body build as well as height but the thing is that he has a hatred to people...is it because of his fathers death
Gamzilla234
MemberMothra LarvaeDec-26-2013 9:48 PM@THEGOJIMAN54 It was suppose to be Junior in an early script draft but toho didnt like it so they scrapped that and gave us a straight up new godzilla. So to you and all those who keeping thinking its junior, its NOT. Case Closed. (P.S. the last shot of junior from GvD in the Main Title Sequence doesnt count as FWGoji being Junior.)
@KYERO lol sorry but you're wrong, the opening for GFW took place in 2004 but the rest took place in 2044. And it starts a new timline like how almost every Millenium film did with only the original film being part of it.

First, the wiki page says the Godzilla from 2004 is NOT from the Heisei seres. There's no mention of it at all. Second, a wiki page can be edited by anyone. It's exactly the most concrete resource.
@BurningGodzilla1995
The scene shot of Junior in the opening credits was not put in by either screenwriters Wataru Mimira (who only wrote the storyline) or Isao Kiriyama. It was a stylistic choice made by Kyle Cooper who was hired to create the opening credits of the movie. He choose the shot because it looked cool. Not because it was Junior. (It's not.)
@Gamzilla234
There seems to be some dispute about when Final Wars actually opens. In press release reveals it was said that the opening of the film takes place in the 1960s. Only recently have I discovered that there's some belief it took place in 2004. Is there an official source you're seeing that says one way or another? Wikipedia is not one I will accept with out a credible source claim. I've not watched the film in a long time so I can't remember if it's outright said or not.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-15-2014 1:23 AMso Yes. The Godzilla in GFW is Junior. The opening scene is said to take place in the late 1990's while the main story occurs in 2032. While all the details regarding the setting and possibly new origins of some of the monsters has been axed from the final cut of the film by Ryuhei Kitamura to make the story open to interpretation, no one bothered to tell the editor this. As a result, any of the intended exposition from Wataru Mimura and Shogo Tomiyama has been lost, but in the opening scene it is still made explicitly clear that Godzilla is in fact Junior. You probably already suspected this when you saw the movie, but without the characters mentioning any history, it seems sort of... hanging. Like... why did they just show Junior, and why do they keep mimicking those shots? Because it's supposed to be Junior, that's why.
