So, I think there is at least one movie in the franchise that everyone can agree on the poor quality of- *cough*Godzilla'sRevenge*cough*. But, what is a movie in the series that you think is really underrated and wish more people would look at positively? Or, maybe just one that you don't think gets noticed and praised enough.
Personally for me, it would have to be Godzilla vs. Hedorah. I love the dark, psychedelic tone it creates and Hedorah itself sure is an... interesting monster.
Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJan-14-2014 2:40 PMI would agree on Hedorah. Defnitely one of the darker films in the series and one of the only (the only?) film to show actual dead humans resulting from a kaiju attack. Big fan of GvH.

He is basically the Freddy Krueger of the Godzilla franchise. He tortures children in their dreams. He takes on the shape of an ogre-like creature, having an evil laugh as his roar. I think Gabara is a very cool monster, yet sadly underrated.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJan-24-2014 3:08 AMi'd say son of godzilla is, the movie is cheesy but very entertaining. sea monster is just **** and that was my first toho godzilla movie and didn't have godzilla until near the end of the movie.

No one ever mentions this movie, mostly because it got sandwiched between the original, which many consider the best, and started the genre, and King Kong vs Godzilla which is the most popular movie in the series. Unfortunately due to horrible dubbing and bad placement this movie flies very much under the radar.
