Which movie was the first time you saw Mechagodzilla? For example, the first time I saw any incarnation of Mechagodzilla was in Godzilla Tokyo SOS. But of course, when I was younger, I always skipped to the fight scenes, ignoring the plot. So I didn't know the 2003 Mechagodzilla (Kiryu) was technically a cyborg due to it having a Godzilla skeleton in him. So, what was the first time you saw any incarnation of Mechagodzilla?

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-23-2014 5:07 AMMy first Mechagodzilla movie was Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II. It's still one of my fav Godzilla movies, the main tittle theme is just nostalgic and awesome(so is the Godzilla vs Rodan fight in the film)

It was in that movie that I saw MechaGodzilla for the first time and I was captured by the whole thing. I was a lot younger at the time.

They were Godzilla, King of the Monsters, Rodan, and of course, Terror of MechaGodzilla. The third was Godzilla vs The Thing but, I already had the English dubbed version of Godzilla vs Mothra.

The two ways I watched Godzilla films as a kid was either renting them from the library or watching a marathon (usually on TNT). And Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla '74 was the only one to rent or played on TV... then again there were only two MechaGodzilla movies at the time anyway (Terror of MechaGodzilla being the other)
