MemberTitanosaurusJun-02-2014 10:42 AMWhy King Ghidorah doesn't need arms.
1. He has 3 heads and necks, 2 tails, 2 massive wings, 2 legs. How many more apendages does he need?
2. If he was meant to have arms, he would have had them in the 60's, or more specifically, in the first movie he was introduced, Ghidorah, the Three Headed Monster.
3. It would not look natural. He is a bipedal creature. For him to have arms would mean he would have to become a quadruped.
4. It's been done with Keizer Ghidorah and Desghidorah.
5. It would throw everybody off and enrage the hard core fans. I was pissed when Ghidorah was a good guy in GMK.
6. He doesn't need them! He's the King of Terror! He has no use for arms.
7. The wings take the place of the arms on the position on the body.
8. Weight. He's heavy enough. He still needs to move.
Finale point, HE DOESN'T NEED TO HAVE ARMS. HE'S A THREE-HEADED, TWIN TAILED, GOLDEN DRAGON FROM SPACE. HE HAS NO NEED FOR ARMS AND WHERE THE F*CK WOULD YOU PUT THEM ANYWAYS THAT WOULD MAKE IT LOOK GOOD? IT CAN'T BE DONE WITHOUT MESSING UP THE ENTIRE CREATURE. HE HAS GONE WITHOUT ARMS FOR 50 YEARS! KING GHIDORAH IS AN ARMLESS MONSTER! IF HE WAS MEANT TO HAVE ARMS, HE WOULD HAVE HAD THEM FROM THE START
Ok, I'm done.

MemberTitanosaurusJun-02-2014 10:49 AMIt's fine if he has arms that are connected to the wings like Otachi from Pacific Rim. But separate arms and separate wings are not okay.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-02-2014 11:31 AMIs this a thing? Do people think that King Ghidorah needs arms?

MemberTitanosaurusJun-02-2014 11:57 AMI've seen some people suggest that if Ghidorah was brought into the Godzilla 2014 sequel that he have arms.
Also I thought GMK was good, but I don't like that they made a long-time, well-known evil character like King Ghidorah into a good guy in the blink of an eye.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-02-2014 2:28 PMwell maybe not arms but it could be cool to see him have front legs instead. kind of like desghidorah or kaiser ghidorah

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-02-2014 5:26 PMif he had front legs it would be like if godzilla walked on al fours, it would look wiered

AdminGodzillaJun-02-2014 9:30 PMPart of what makes King Ghidorah's design so unique is the lack of arms. There's something about him that's above grappling appendages. As for a four legged Ghidorah, that's fine, but it's not King Ghidorah.

Something Real
MemberGodzillaJun-02-2014 10:25 PMKINGKAIJUGOJIRA - I agree whole-heartedly with your assessment. Indeed, Ghidorah's design is perfectly fine without the inclusion or forelimbs. As GMAN2887 so eleoquently put it: "there's something about him that's above grappling appendages". King Ghidorah doesn't require arms and hands to thrash his foes - he has his wings, tails and trio of fang-filled mouths for that work. If those armaments can't do the job, he can breathe concentrated blasts of lightning! Who needs arms and hands when you're a living thunderstorm - a veritable god made flesh? Besides, Ghidorah has always struck me as regal and incredibly haughty; he'd likely balk at the concept of placing his hands upon another creature in order to destroy it. Thus, even if he did have arms, he'd likely never bother to use them anyway out of unadulterated vanity! ;)

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-03-2014 5:32 AMI agree with you. Ghidorah definitely doesn't need arms. His two heads on the ends make up for the arms.
