So with all the Godzilla designs over the years the "spines" have always been a major part of the design and I want to know which "spines" are your favorite? Mine are the Heisei they are massive and show how mutated and destructive Godzilla is . Granted the Heisei Godzilla '85 spines are smaller and the biggest one is at the waist but they are still massive in 3 rows.

My favorite was the Millennium spines. They take the massive proportions of the Heisei fins, the larger center row of the Showa fins and they are jagged, sharp and monsterus.

I like the ones from Godzilla 2000: Millennium, The way it seemed more like bones, while maintaining that general shape from the classics. Also they looked awesome when he shot his Atomic Blast

i like the new godzilla dorsal plates, then it would be 1991 heisei and then 2000. :)

My favourite are the Millennium spikes.
They are so jagged and rough looking and I love the colouring.
Somehow, they remind me of a magical forest growing out of Godzilla's back.
In a creepy way. Don't call me crazy.

@fayh,
hey welcome to the site. :)

Millennium for sure. They are so large that they move beyond the realm of looking like a dinosaur, and they are very jagged and aggressive looking. I think that G14s were on their way to looking really cool, but like the rest of the film, not quite enough for my liking;-)

G '54 - But then again, I prefer much of that Godzilla's design to any others. The spines were irregular and jagged. His overall look was like that as well, crusty and imperfect, and his roar is my favorite out of all of them. I wish they had based 2014's on the '54 roar, instead of the higher pitched version.
