MemberMothra LarvaeJul-05-2014 8:20 AMWhat is your top 5 favorite suits/designs and why?
Here's my top 5 in order:
#1- Move/DesuGoji (1994-1995) I feel that this suit was the peak of the original Godzilla design. Eyes and snout were the perfect shape and size and his spines were so beautifully pronouced.
#2- Modified MegaroGoji (1975 Terror of MG) Although the spines were a bit flimsy, I love the rest of the suit design. This will always be my favorite more kid friendly G suit. This suit is the definition of the original Showa Hero Godzilla in my opinion.
#3- 84Goji (1984) This is still probably still the best definition and example of a large and evil Godzilla. Large fangs, large head with medium angry snout. This suit was awesome to me. Would like the mention how I love the lowered located large spines.
#4- LegendaryGoji (2014) I love the new design you can definitely tell they got ideas from bears and komongo dragons. Love how much mass he has and his pronounced jaw. The feel of this design comes off as "If there really was a Godzilla this is what he would look like."
#5- Modified BioGoji (1991) I wasn't a fan of the original biogoji suit until it was modified. The bigger chest, more pronounced eye brows, and pronounced spines made a huge difference in making this suit 10x better. Not to mention the 84-91 G roar felt perfect for this suit.
Honorable mention: MireGoji (1999-2000) What an awesome change up from the suit designs of before. I like this suit a lot as well.

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-05-2014 9:46 AMI actually hate the Kiryu Goji suits. I hate his facial expressions and spine design, the spine design seem like a lazy attempt at the MireGoji design. And how his snout comes to a point, terrible!

AdminGodzillaJul-05-2014 11:00 AM^I actually think they're an improvement over the Miregoji suit. The spines were too large, mouth too wide and the green coloring and purple spines flashed images of Barney in my head. I'm not a big fan of any of the Millennium suits, sans GMK, but the Kiryu-Goji suits are the least offensive of Wakasa's suit designs to me.

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-05-2014 11:06 AM5. MusukoGoji- I don't care what you guys say, I love this suit. He looks a lot taller (which was intentional because of Minya), he has this toothy mouth, and I don't know I just really like this suit.
4. KiryuGoji- He just looks so mean and aggressive! He has the design of Godzilla 2000, but with the original Godzilla's coloring!
3. MegaroGoji- I like how he's cute, but looks mean at the same time. I don't know if it's my girly "OMG HE'S SO CUTE!11!" or something, but I still like this suit either way!
2. ShodaiGoji- You gotta admit, this suit is creepy. There's something quite haunting about it.
1. LegendaryGoji- No words. His design speaks for himself.

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-07-2014 8:22 AMI never understood why the suit from G vs. Mothra 1964 was regarded as the best. His eyes were facing outwards and his upper lip was really loose and flimsy during the film

MemberBaragonJul-07-2014 1:30 PM@Sparkzilla14 - For me the '64 design is second best behind '54. I like it because it just works as a whole. There aren't many flaws with it IMHO. I think the face is one of the best. He looks so mean and belligerent, he's not overly bulky and there's very little of the "goofy factor" that would plague other designs, especially during the Showa era, after Mothra Vs. Godzilla. For my money this was the last great design and movie of the Showa era. Although I like some of the movies that followed, for me it was all downhill from here. I think the loose jowels you refer to gave it more of a realistic look and I believe was a happy accident with loose adhesive inside the head part.

Try accessing it from Scified.com if it doesn't work through godzilla-movies. It may or may not work.
