That Rodan is still as ugly as sin.
That is direct disrespect to decaying corpses everywhere and I do not condone that.
Why are u guys calling it a zombie?

HFTT,
Because he looks sickly, thin, skeletal and disgusting. The skin looks like it's sagging off of him and his eyes sunken into his skull. I pray Legendary doesn't look to this for inspiration. I just can not fathom how disturbingly un-Rodan this thing looks.
It looks like an animal to me

It's like an even more depraved and disgusting version of the Hyper Gyaos from Gamera 3. And that's saying something!
"When man falls into conflict with nature, monsters are born." - Professor Hayashida, The Return of Godzilla
GMAN2887 - I happen to strongly agree with your assessment. The image of Rodan, while extremely excellent, bespeaks a more, hmm, nightmarish creature. To me, Rodan has always been a sleek, agile and vicious hunter - something like a giant reptillian hawk. The Rodan this artist has presented strikes me as a lumbering, terrifying, stork-like abomination that would fit-in well with movies such as The Mist. I'm certainly not saying that the monster looks terrible; I'm saying it doesn't strike me as a fitting representation of Rodan. Of course, my opinion is only mine; if Legendary goes with a similar design, I'll enjoy it just fine! I might have nightmares later, but it'll still be excellent! :)
Here, however, is another image of that Rodan concept that was released by Legendary.
