Does anyone else dislike Final Wars?

Kind of feel like I'm one of the few who dislike the Final Wars film. I even didn't like the G suit used cause I felt his face/head looked weird. I just feel like the movie was Godzilla on crack and serves no better purpose other than that. Anyone else feel this way?

I think it''s one of the worst Godzilla films for a lot of reasons. You cant really watch it seriously you have to turn your brain off for it.

I've actually found that a lot of fans strongly despise Final Wars. Most people hate it for the rushed monster fights and crazy fast-paced plot, among several other reasons. While I think Final Wars isn't one of the better Godzilla films, I don't actually hate or dislike it. I enjoy Final Wars for what it is, a tribute to Godzilla's long history made on crack. I think the filmmakers really wanted to make a movie that featured Godzilla at his most badass and tried to shoehorn as many classic monsters that hadn't been in seen in a while as possible. This kind of backfired, but I still think it's a passable Godzilla movie. I don't really care for the suit they used in the film either, and the music is pretty uneven in quality, plus a lot of the acting is (intentionally?) really corny. I like Final Wars, but I understand why many fans dislike it.

Final wars is one of the worst. However, it is a film that my 6 year nephew enjoys watching, but even he says it is not no where near his favorite film.

Final Wars was my first Japanese Godzilla movie, so it wouldn't be too fair for me to comment on it :P

In terms of plot or characters, don't bother.

But if you want monster fights and lots of them, it's the film for you.

Not a fan of it.  Feels too rushed and focuses on the humans way too much.  I'm fine with the five rows of spines on Godzill's back, but the head and neck are way too exagerated.  Same goes for GMK Godzilla.

Absolute worst film?  No but a contender.  Worst film (My opinion): King Kong Vs. Godzilla

I don't believe that Final Wars was the worst but the acting made it painful to watch, or maybe it's what they made the actors do...
I really liked King Kong vs. Godzilla but the thought of the Lightning Powered Ape didnt make a whole lot of sense but then again do giant monsters?

I enjoy the ever living stuffing out of Godzilla: Final Wars.

That said I fully acknowledge it's one of the worst Godzilla movies out there. It's kind of like Godzilla vs. Megalon, really. Both movies are zany, action packed and goofy, but if you approach them with a certain mood or mindset they can be really fun.

On the other hand this was supposed to be the 50th Anniversary film and it was a borderline parody of the series instead of a respectful celebration. I think that's Final Wars' most insulting contribution to the series-- As a result it rubs me the wrong way when young fans, or new fans, claim this as a "great" Godzilla movie. But I suppose enough time has passed where the wounds have healed and we can simply watch it for fun.

Final Wars is an example that even some of the worst Godzilla movies can still be as entertaining as all hell.

You can't like all classic Godzilla movies. I like Godzilla vs King Kong for It's Idea but the execution could have been better. The lightning thing always bothered me and it was in the movie because the script was originally written for Frankenstein. 

Final Wars is a two edged Sword in my opinion. It has a lot of monsters, I like the Suit and in my opinion all the monsters are designed very well. I kinda like this futuristic feel it has and some of the monster battles are very entertaining.
On the other hand, the actors are terrible and I wish they included even more Monsters like Gorosaurus or Megalon. Also more and longer Monster fights, there wasn't so moch action and fighting, it was just Godzilla fighting more Monsters than normally. 
It has this very unique atmosphere, it doesen't feel like any other Godzilla movie, more like some kind of futuristic film. 

I mean, it's not bad for me, but I could've been better. They could even keep this futuristic thing but add an darker tone to the movie. 
That's my opinion on it.

I've only seen the Japanese version (subtitled). Most of the Millennium movies I've never watched English dubbed.

I take a look at a few dubbed scenes here and there to confirm whether or not the disc has dubtitles.

Other than Monster Zero I'll watch Godzilla 1985 dubbed just because I consider it a different movie compared to the Japanese version. And I'll watch Godzilla 2000 dubbed on occasion since the American version is better edited and I appreciate the music / sound effect changes.

Beyond that I watch these movies in Japanese by default. I forget I have access to English dub versions on these DVD/Bluray a lot of times.

I really REALLY hate this movie.  It isn't a good tribute to the King, which is what it was supposed to be.

Godzilla vs. Destoroyah is a far better tribute to Godzilla's legacy and a better send-off.  It takes itself seriously (as the best Heisei movies do), tied back to the original film, and had a real sense that this was truly the end for Godzilla, which gives fans the FEELINGS.

Also the score for Godzilla Final Wars is annoying as Hell, the ending credits song grates my every nerve.
