During the last few seconds of this interview with Dougherty, Dougherty mentioned "needing to design more monsters for the film beyond the [film's] initial four", before the interview was cut-off before he could elaborate further. Is conformation that more Kaiju besides King Ghidorah, Rodan, Godzilla, and Mothra will appear in Godzilla King of Monsters?

Don't take my word on this, but there isn't any confirmation on more TOHO monsters in the film if that is what you are asking?

Maybe to elaborate on what Dougherty might be trying to say is that KOTM might have more MUTO(Legendary Designed) monsters. Not TOHO licensed kaiju like Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah.

I bet Dougherty will have more than just the big 4 in his movie. All of his films have a colorful tapestry of monsters and scary things. If you look at Trick R Treat, there is all kinds of ghosts and ghouls all over the film. From Zombie children to werewolves, and serial killers to little Sam. That film has soo much going on but all gets nicely summed up in a great finale.

Same goes with Krampus, the Krampus actually has very little screen time in the film. You don't see Krampus until the end and it pays off. You don't seem to mind watching the other "minions" steal the show. From mean spirited Gingerbread Men to evil misfit toys attacking the group, to "undersnow"  creatures to the elfs and evil looking rams helming the sleigh right down to Krampus himself, Dougherty knows how to display soo many fun and interesting characters on screen you feel like your on some kind of amusement park ride that you wish would never end!

So it wouldn't surprise me to see more than just the BIG 4 in KOTM. I hope Dougherty pushes more MUTO in there with different designs and abilities that keep KOTM fresh and fun the whole way through. Pacific Rim has its del Toro, now Godzilla has Dougherty. This sequel is going to out do G14. you can bet on it

YOU.....DUMBBELL!

Not really (but it could), just any MUTO/Kaiju (original or not) showing up in Godzilla 2 in general

[Sorry did not mean to do the double response. Some sort of glitch must have occurred. Man that is incredibly annoying.]

Probably throw away monsters.

Godzilla Generations was a beautiful game! I loved the fact that there's a laser cannon inside of Dr. Serizawa's eyepatch.
