What are the purpose of the unknown Kaiju shown on the GKOTM trailer #2?

I watched the trailer and I loved it! The reveals of Rodan and Mothra and that scene where Godzilla and King Ghidora both ran towards one another to fight is just E P I C. I did noticed at the trailer that there is a different kaiju appeared below the ground. I assumed it's exoskeleton's armoured and has spiky features and has, I dont know, sharp thingies coming out from the ground as well. (i know you'll get what I'm saying because I know ya'll watched the 2nd trailer) I have a theory that the purpose of the new kaiju is to show off Ghidora. I mean, c'mon. Godzilla is obviously going to win so King Ghidora was just shown just to die in the movie. Godzilla might fought Rodan with Mothra aiding Godzilla, which will be cool. Showing off what they could do before the true epic fight begins. And also, it'll be disappointing of Kinf Ghidora dies without killing anothe Kaiju, right? Although there might be a chance that Mothra dies as shown by older movies. But not showing off King Ghidora's strenght is not a good way to show how menacing King Ghidora is. So, adding a random kaiju just for us to see what King Ghidora could do to an another kaiju is, what I believed, the reason why there is an another kaiju in the trailer. What are your thoughts? I am new here and this is my first topic so bear with me if I kinda did something wrong.....

i think the kaiju that were shown were completly different monsters that will probably not have much screen time in the movies...tho there is one point in the tailer that has me concerned about mothra...

They could just be used to emphasize how kaiju are wakening everywhere in the world but not really be focused on.

They could possibly come up at the end of the film or in the middle of the film.
I did hear for Godzilla V Kong, it would take place "In a time when monsters walk the Earth".

Or its something they threw in there that won't make it to the final movie. Gareth Edwards' SDCC teaser had stuff never featured in the movie.
For now, Godzilla, that strangely innocent and tragic monster, has gone to earth. Whether he returns or not or is never again seen by human eyes, the things he has taught us remain.

Many things to say here.
1- The spiked guy coming out of the ground covered in trees/grass/green stuff is obviously Anguirus. I mean, c'mon. No other Goji character has had spikes arranged on their back like that.
2- I don't like the idea of Rodan being a villain/secondary antagonist. As a kid, I watched Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster and loved the idea of Goji teaming up with his buddies (Rodan and Mothra) to kick Ghidorah's ass. Having him be an antagonist is upsetting.
3- Godzilla ran at Ghidorah, but they did not run at each other. Ghidorah was flying
"Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds."
