Resurgence
MemberBaragonFebruary 21, 2019So after looking at the NECA Godzilla King Of The Monsters figures (really sad about there not being a NECA King Ghidorah figure) I noticed something about the atomic breath figure, more specifically how spread out the effect of the atomic breath is compared to the first, I will go into more detail later

I don't think Godzilla can suffer from radiation poisoning, at least in the same vein as non-radiovores.
For him and similar Titan species that feed on radiation, it's more like water or food for normal animals. Thus, if anything, it's more that he's "overstuffed" on radiation than poisoned.
So overstuffed that, presumably, the constant glow he has pumps his muscles and leaks through his skin and allows him to pump extra strength into his atomic breath without risk of draining his reserves.
this might be more evidence to suggest that godzilla will enter meltdown mode in KOTM, although honestly I doubt it, I personally think that you are right that this would be the legendary equivalent of the Spiral heat beam from the heisei era

Uh, Godzilla eats radiation. How is he supposed to get poisoned from it?

Gmkgoji remember godzilla versus destoroyah, that is how he takes radiation poisoning, that is what I mean

Resurgence You should've seen the news that came up about the Jaaks Pacific KOTM figures and Gmkgoji's spoiler thread.
Other than that, I don't think Godzilla is getting radiation poisoning, although that would be a good topic to talk about when it comes to Kong in GvK.

I don't think it is actually burning Godzilla it's just an artistic rendering of one of the scenes in the trailer because Jakks Pacific didn't want to put out the same figures same paint style twice and I've been purposefully avoiding spoilers I do however believe he will be getting a power up

Godzilla does get a powerup. 2, in fact

Gmkgoji Really, bro? That is exactly why I told Resurgence to see the two threads before this happens.

Gmkgoji You're joking right you read my post I'm avoiding spoilers!

Resurgence Just some advice from me (Since I've been here since Nov 6, 2017, [On my other account, my MinecraftDinoKaiju account.] which would make me a year-old website member at the moment.): If you don't (or in your case, didn't) want spoilers, leave something that states that it is a non-spoiler topic or that it is you're avoiding spoilers, or (maybe better) before people leave comments, tell them to not say any spoilers in their comments. You're welcome.

@Resurgence
Sorry man
Didn't mean to spoil anything

Thank you for the advice MDK 2 I really appreciate it, I'll keep that in mind from now on, and Gmkgoji it's fine I figured he was going to anyway to combat King Ghidorah

Resurgence: On your point about Godzilla vs Destroyah, the big G did not suffer from radiation posioning per se, but a meltdown, not the same thing as a poisoning. Bascially, big G suffered from a runaway nuclear fission in his heart. But he is not "poisoned" by radiation.
But to be technical that may just be how his species deals with radiation poisoning because I believe with regular poisoning different species react differently

Resurgence: Species die from poisoning, they not explode and take the rest of the world with it, as Godzilla would have done. That is not poisoning.

Basically, with radiovores, it's more akin to overbloat from nutrition consumption when they consume too much radiation.
Some animals can in fact explode if they eat too much; the weird properties of nuclear radiation probably result in unique properties.
What TheGman123 is saying is actually strangely true. There have been instances of animals 'exploding' from eating to large of meals. There's a picture out there of a Burmese python that ate a large alligator in the everglades and was ripped open by it. Quite interesting. Also radiovores? I like that I didn't know that's what they were called that's cool.
I don't think Godzilla can suffer from radiation poisoning, he tanked a nuclear blast that would have been larger than the Hiroshima bomb and kept on going. In the trailer we see a scene of the temple complex he's in getting nuked, then we see him glowing. Well the scenes play backwards in the trailer, but you get what I'm after. This leads me to believe that this blue glow, which is indicative of gamma radiation by the way, is a result of tanking the nuclear blast and absorbing the immense amount of radiation that gives off. As we are told in the 2014 movie, they feed on radiation.
P.S. If you're "no spoiler" tag includes the trailers, my apologies in advance
