Wait why are we thinking its only one big bad?

Right now it seems the going theory is there is going to be just one big bad. however, the title is Godzilla Vs Kong. Godzilla has shown that he can defeat two creatures that evolved to HUNT his species and he managed to win with a little help from Ford Brody. In KOM Godzilla was close to ending the life of  The false king till we hit him with the OD, after his third round with KG I would say ya kong going to learn his island is part of Godzilla's world...quite fast.

also, this is the first time these two titans of cinema have clashed in 58 years. with the success (it grossed 46 mill over double it's budget) of G: KOM it's likely the monsterverse is going to continue. Given the reshooting, I feel there will be a few big bads.

so the question is who are the big bads, well Miss Brown was 13 when filming G: KOM and is 16 now so three years will have to have passed for her character. I would say three years is enough for the one monster who came close to killing Godzilla at his most powerful Destoroyah, and he has a power I did not know he had https://godzilla.fandom.com/wiki/Destoroyah#DNA_Absorption so he would be dangerous. however, we will likely have this be the threat Godzilla faces, however, what about kong.

well, there is a human threat, what if that threat is the anti-nuclear energy bacteria, which a section of Destoroyah then consumes causing it to mutate into something else...Hedorah, which would be lethal to Godzilla do to its ability to absorb Atomic energy but kong who does not use atomic energy would likely be able to fight the creature. it ends with kong bowing to Godzilla who grants kong skull island as his fiefdom.

Millie Bobby Brown was 14 and 15 during the filming of Godzilla vs. Kong. She only turned 16 this past February.

Kong probably isn't the "big bad" of the movie. If you've seen Slull Island, Kong is a friend to nature, and has an understanding / benevolence towards humans (ones who aren't threats to him or the island of course). He's not the antagonist of that film, and most deffinately will not be the antagonist in GvK as well, as it has been confirmed he will have an emotional connectionton with the humans. GvK is not only a Godzilla film, but a Kong film as well.

I see you're speculating a lot (and there's nothing wrong with that), but Kong will not give up his rule over Skull Island, at least not that fast. I can see why you think Kong will take a big beating to Godzilla and have their battle over with, but considering the title and concept of the movie, that won't be the case. If it was, the film would be cheating the audience and would not make nearly enough profit as Warner Bros and Legendary need it to.

Also, although Millie is supposed to be about 12 in the KotM, she was a bit older when it was filmed, and GvK will probably take place around one year after the events of KotM (with the same respect of the time difference between G14 and KotM, as those films took place five years apart from one another, 2014 and 2019).

KingSalomonMMIV I think we all know who the real "big bad" of the film is going to be, but in terms of the conflict itself, I can't help but wonder if Godzilla is going to be treated as the antagonist here, seeing as how he's the one initially coming to Skull Island and intruding on Kong's domain.

Who knows? Maybe he does win over Kong in the end, but it's treated as a tragic moment for Kong rather than a victory for Godzilla. Especially if my theory of Skull Island being destroyed ends up coming true.

I don't even want 1 "big bad" I just want them to fight with no other obstacles so the fact there's basically 1 confirmed is something I'm not a fan of, god forbid they have multiple.

Yeah no. It’s called Godzilla vs Kong. They did this movie before and it was just the two of them as the main focus. We will probably see other monsters, but only in passing like we did in KOTM. Also, I doubt King Kong will bow.

I don’t get why everyone seems to think King will try to take the throne. There are various other reasons why two Alphas would fight. Territory comes to mind. What if Godzilla’s monsters try to make the island their home? Kong will kick them off. There can be more than one alpha running around with their own pack. So it really doesn’t change anything if Kong wins and just stake claim to his home. It’s also possible for Kong to lose but still keep his home if Godzilla starts getting attacked by the inhabitant monsters like an actual pack would do if their head in under attacked.
This should just be Kong and Godzilla fighting it out with a couple scenes of other monsters fighting because they chose their leader.

YeOldFossil But see, we do know that there's gonna be a "bad guy" monster in this movie. Playmates let that slip a while back. So there's definitely going to be another threat outside of Godzilla and Kong's feud.

I'm pretty sure that Kong's motivation is going to stem from the other Titans beginning to converge on Skull Island, if the end credits of KOTM are any indication.

Also, a Titan civil war sounds like an awesome idea. :)

I too think that that is what will begin the feud between Godzilla and Kong, but we can't really know for sure, at least not until the marketing for the movie starts happening. But if so, it would seem Godzilla could be the "villain" of the film (although I think the producers and makers of the movie won't make that the case). Who knows... this movie could go so many different ways.

KingSalomonMMIV I don't think Godzilla is going to be a villain. I think he's going to be an instigator in the conflict. I think anybody who's seen the Playmates leaks can tell you who the real villain will be. And that's all I'm going to say about that.

Villain, antagonist, instigator; they're synonyms (of sorts) within the context of the film, but with certain differences that I guess I didn't pay much attention to. If you you were talking about something different than a villain (to say that Godzilla is only the cause of the conflict, not the bad guy), I just misinterpreted what you said. I also believe that Godzilla's attempted domain over Skull Island will be the cause of the conflict, but like I said, I don't think he'll be made out to be the villain / antoganist, as he's been the "hero" to mankind in all the Monsterverse films so far.

I should state i view Godzilla King of the monsters happening in around 2018 and not 2019. however i will admit I may be off by one year i am dyslexic so I'm not the best with numbers. however, I do not feel that 2 years is enough to fully build that particular monster unless he was a Hollow earth creation. so we would be seeing him in his incomplete form if he is used.

I also feel kong has PTSD and its not much of a stretch eather given his tragic past. so he will likely attack on-site any titan that sets foot on his island.  so because of this, he is going to be very aggressive. they're going to have a big fight in the film, however honestly I do not see kong wining as kong cant really take the same level of beating Godzilla can, but i do not see Godzilla killing kong.

It doesn't. It takes place in 2019, five years after the events of 2014. It even says 2014 in the opening San Francisco scene. The film says five years have passed since then. Thus, 2019.

JurassicKaiju14 ill admit im wrong about the date. however ya i thing the Big G is going to take a beating from kong, cause let's face it Godzilla heals very fast. however eventually Godzilla will be fed up with kong and start hitting back when that happens kong is going to get very badly hurt very fast.
