MemberBaragonMay-18-2021 10:19 AMHey there G-fans. We're in a day and age where making collective film universes is becoming a norm, especially now for the iconic monster himself. The MV is at a standstill and Toho is planning one of their own. There's plenty the world of Godzilla has to offer. Its a franchise that's been building for decades with several monsters added throughout for him to battle or team up with. With all of this mind, if you were to create your own universe, how would you go about it? Since this can be extremely broad as there's a lot to play with, lets keep it organized:
1) Choose the number of films you'd want to cover your universe.
2) Choose how many monsters you'd use for your line of films (Optional: explain why you chose these monsters).
3) Give a brief synopsis of how you'd want each film to go.
4) Choose your ideal composer to match your universe.
5) Have fun with it!
Some of you may come up with a dark take, others may come up with a crazy or action-packed take. Maybe even both! I'll be sharing mine as I think more on it. Go nuts down there!

AdminSpaceGodzillaMay-18-2021 2:40 PMThis should be a fun topic! I'll post my ideas shortly once I flesh them out properly.

MemberAnguirusMay-18-2021 2:47 PMI have my own idea for a Godzilla trilogy, however it's too big to fit in a comment so I'll make a post about.
Djdndnejwnwn
MemberGiganMay-18-2021 10:15 PMIt’s funny you notice the name change because I discovered it through a bug on his member page.
Anyway, another concept I have is that anguirus isn’t even a different kaiju from Godzilla at all. First bipedal minya, then. the anguirus stage, and then finally adult Godzilla. I mainly decided this to separate my Godzilla from the other ones in the continuity. Godzilla 3, if you will, is much more savage and brutal than the other two. The killing of the “Anguirus” juvenile is meant to stress this brutality.
Is that a good idea?

MemberBaragonMay-19-2021 4:04 AM@Chris Hey man! It really has been a while haha, how have you been? The name change has actually been a thing for almost 2 years now, it was about time I applied it here too. Its my official handle on pretty much everything now. Can't wait to see what universe you cook up. Give us a peek soon!
@SarcasticGoji Ah so you're trying your own SP-style route with him but applying a brutal nature concept to it. That's not a bad idea at all! For your timeline that's also a pretty interesting route to go with. Cementing it as grounded lore. I'd watch that.
@SasquaDash That's fair enough. If you'd like you can still try to summarize it in here :)
@TexanGodzilla I like the extended MV style here while also making note that you'd change aspects of them to fit your own vision. It's always cool to see how someone would rework it into something on a grander scale!
@sonictiger no worries, the post will still be here!

MemberAnguirusMay-19-2021 7:36 AMI'm currently writing the plot descriptions (I've had some of these ideas for a while) and I'll post them in a response topic when I'm finished.
To sum up the plots (without giving too much away) the trilogy would involve genetic terrorists acquiring Godzilla's DNA and creating "hybrid" clones of him to cause chaos.
The main monsters would include Godzilla (obviously), Zilla, Biollante, and Spacegodzilla.
The stories will take some inspiration from the video games and unmade concepts (such as the Unmade sequel to 1998).

MemberGiganMay-19-2021 7:40 AMThat sounds really cool! That reminds me of Godzilla vs Biollante when they’re playing tug a war with the G cells

MemberAnguirusMay-19-2021 7:43 AMoh goody goody, i do this often anyways for like fanfiction and stuff.
first one, a standalone universe that was also a crossover, and i dunno how many characters there were because it never saw the light of day besides a few drawings.
second, RexGoji's universe, not done yet.
third, the one for my new fanfiction still in the works.
forth, scientifically plausible universe.
i'm still working on them all (maybe maybe working on the first one but idk)
i might have more but sometimes my brain doesn't like to work

MemberBaragonMay-19-2021 8:45 AMThis is a bit off topic, but if I were to make a movie, I would make a mockbuster of Ape vs. Monster. After their mockbuster of Godzilla vs Kong, I want to see what happens when they get a taste of their own medicine. For those who want to know more about Ape vs Monster or Asylum I wrote an article here.
KaijuFan_6754
MemberBaragonMay-19-2021 8:48 AMImagine if Asylum sued me lol. I'd sue them back. But besides that, If I were to make a goji movie, I would do one similar to Destroy all monsters. I want to incorporate as much monsters and battles as possible.

MilqueChocolate, Been well thank you! happy to see you back on the forums. I am a bit biased to favor of your previous name (lol), but I dig the new one too!
As for my Godzilla Universe, I would span 4 films releasing within 3 years of one another to avoid fatigue for the franchise and I would keep it fairly simple:
Godzilla (2024)
Film introduces Godzilla similar to the 1954 original, being the product of Nuclear testing and I would want the film to have a Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight feel to it - dark and gritty. Godzilla would not fight another monster in this movie, but it would focus on Japan and America's response to the monster now terrorizing their mainlands. The film would conclude with plans of removing Godzilla off Earth to avoid him wrecking havoc. The film would conclude with Godzilla being moved to an isolation chamber on the Moon, created by a government organization similar to MONARCH, but one invested heavily in space travel ( as I feel this would be more relatable at the time, given the direction our technology is taking us today.)
Godzilla vs. The Astro Monster (2027)
Here I would introduce the alien invasion angle. Mankind has expanded their reach to Mars and are looking to colonize other planets. This has caught the attention of an alien race which are trying to do the same and view Mankind's expansion as a threat. We learn each planet had 1 single Monster (not a plethora of Titans) which acted as a Guardian for that planet to combat invading forces over the millenia. Godzilla was removed from Earth as a result of Nuclear attacks, which sparked Godzilla's awakening cause he thought Earth was being invaded (when really it was just us fighting amongst ourselves). Godzilla remains on the Moon but the Astro Monster (Ghidorah) is unleashed by this competing on the budding Human colony on Mars. Elon Musk is terrified (lol jk). In response to the invasion Earth and Mars military groups mounts an offensive but after that fails, they are forced to unleash Godzilla - they move him off his post on the Moon, to Mars, where Godzilla and Astro Monster fight. We learn these Guardians are capable of adapting to any environment so oxygen is not required for them to survive - they are God-like beings from an ancient time when the Universe was freshly created. The battle ends with Godzilla defeating Astro, who retreats with their invading Alien forces. Godzilla is returned to the Moon containment facility after this because Godzilla is still viewing Mankind as the enemy of Earth and once defeating Ghidorah, turns on Mankind again. The film concludes with the invading alien race sending out a transmission to an allied alien race of a different species and they coordinate an attack to take Mars and Earth.
Godzilla: The Invasion (2030)
In the third film, Earth has evolved substantially since the Mars attack and remains untouched. Technologically they have shifted focus on defenses of their existing planets instead of expansion to new worlds as they learn of the Monster Guardian problem and other alien forces. Earth now has outposts on the Moon, Mars and an orbiting station around Saturn. Godzilla remains on the Moon. The film opens with the Astro Monster alien race making their way to the Saturn outpost - of which Earth's defense force have been preparing for such an attack since the Mars invasion. Instead of calling on Godzilla however, Earth has created mechanical Guardians of their own - Saturn Outpost houses Mechagodzilla - a mecha piloted by a team of soldiers. Mechagodzilla is armed to the teeth and prepares to launch a counter-attack against the invading forces, who unleash Ghidorah once again. Near the middle of the film, we see another invading force - the allied alien forces to the Astro Monster gorup and they are moving in on Earth. They notice Earth's guardian (Godzilla) trapped on the Moon and see it as an opportunity to attack. This group unleashed their Guardian Monster - one that this race had attacked on their own planet - similarly to the Godzilla / Human conflict. But instead of trapping their Guardian Monster on a moon, they chose to weaponize and control it by binding their own technology to it - introduce GIGAN. Gigan lands on the Moon and advances to the Godzilla containment outpost - of which of course leads to an epic Moon battle between Godzilla and Gigan. Meanwhile, back on the Saturn front, Mechagodzilla and Ghidorah battle it out and Mechagodzilla ends up tearing one of Ghidorah's heads off and his wings. However, despite Ghidorah getting mutilated, he manages to crippled Mechagodzilla beyond repair and the fight ends with both Mechagodzilla and Ghidorah seemingly dead. The Astro Monster alien faction retreat. Back on the Moon, Godzilla manages to defeat Gigan and Gigan's own alien forces retreat as well. Godzilla remains the only living Monster and once again - Earth entraps him.
Godzilla: Rebirth (2033)
20 years later - In the final film Earth has expanded its reaches across the solar system and now have operating colonies on a number of neighboring planets - terraforming and constantly scouting for new planets to inhabit. They discover one massive planet with minerals and ore that would serve Earth's expansion plans very well and make its government very rich. They attempt to land on this planet and begin mining its resources, not terraforming it. In the mining process they awaken a dormant Guardian. This volcanic, dark planet has a very evil aesthetic to it - barren and scorthced. A massive quake erupts the grounds beneath Earth's mining operations, collpasing them into the lava pits below. From the magma emerges a towering, massive, grotesque Monster - it's Destroyah - and he's not happy. Destroyah is extremely massive and is not goverened by any alien race, there is no associated species he is meant to protect. He is the bringer of death and the Universe's tool for a "reset". He literally is the destroyer of worlds. He proceeds to destroy ALL Human forces on this planet and then takes flight - hunting and destroying every Human ship and outpost in his way. He is attacking each outpost in succession - with his end goal being Earth. Humanity speculates that Destroyah is the Universe's tool to keep species in check and from preventing one species from monopolizing galaxies. They proceed to launch a counter-offensive with a new mechanical Guardian they've been working on for the past 20 years. Stationed at the Saturn outpost once again - Destroyah comes into view - flying towards them with vigor. Humanity unleashes their defender - Mecha-King Ghidorah! A massive fight ensues and Mecha-Ghidorah utilizes a sweet array of both Mechagodzilla abilities as well as native attributes to Ghidorah. The fight is epic but ultiately concludes with Destroyah being the victor - completely dismembering Mecha-Ghidorah and destroying the entire Saturn outpost.
Destroyah moves closer and closer - landing on Mars, he destroys ALL Human outposts - every single person - obliterated. Mankind has lost nearly a century worth of work in the blink of an eye. Back on Earth they begin to plan a final defense - Godzilla. They take Godzilla from his prison on the Moon and move him back to Earth - Mankind proceeds to hide its world leaders, militaries and wealthiest people in bunker strongholds all over the world in preparation for the impending doom. Godzilla is on Earth - alone. Mankind is hiding underground - observing through video feeds of what's happening on the surface and - Destroyah arrives. Hellfire rains down from the skies - the skies turn bright red and yellow - Godzilla stands his ground, prepared to battle and defend his planet. Destroyah lands and both size each other up - Godzilla being smaller. The fight begins - and the fight is of biblical proportions. Godzilla gives a valiant effort but ultimately starts to lose the fight. He is fighting so hard but with every blow he deals to Destroyah, Destroyah counters with a blow with twiece the ferocity. Godzilla begins to go thermonuclear - his body is melting from the inside out - his use of atomic breath is overloading his system and frying his insides. Destroyah sees this weakness and cuts into Godzilla. Godzilla conjures every ounce of energy he has left to let out a massive thermo-nuclear pulse - a pulse so large it shakes the Earth to its core - stopping the core from spinning! The pulse destroys BOTH Destroyah and himself. Both monsters fall - dead. Earth's atmosphere deteriorates and oxygen is sucked from the planet - Mankind, hidden in their bunkers, feel the effects and it isn't long before everything freezes and everyone - everywhere dies. The Earth stands still.
In the final moments, the core begins to rotate and pick up momentum. The atmosphere is slowly restored but there is no life on Earth. Earth is but a barren landscape, grey, no color. Deep within a cavern, beneath the ocean, a volcanic rock outcropping begins to crack and molten lava pours out slowly. Then - a spike punctures through the side of the rock and it's a familiar looking spike. After that, a juvenile Godzilla emerges - visually an adolescent version of its predecessor - the baby Godzilla swims to the surface, emerges through the now-melted ice and lets out a roar. END.
That would be MY Godzilla universe.

MemberGiganMay-19-2021 10:16 AMI don’t think I clarified about my Godzilla. I think I gave you the impression it evolves like Singular point, or shin godzilla. This isn’t really the case, it just becomes a quadruped in adolescence or the Anguirus stage.
My comparison to singular point is mainly just it reminds me of my story, the events which take place after the timeline I wrote. My first thought when seeing the head of this godzilla was that they’d made my godzilla. Missing a few features on the face, but it kinda startled me

Note: My film is Inspired by Godzilla vs Kong, Ape vs Monster, and Rampage.
Synopsis: Greedy scientist friends Donkey Neutron and Jimmy Kong accidently screw up the Earth's magnetic field while trying to find a rare mineral named memeatron (Meme-A-Tron). But radiation from the sun mutates 2 animals to massive sizes. A primate named Jimmy from an African wildlife park, and a reptile named Gabby from an Asian zoo. The two duke it out until their final battle in New York, where they both track the source of the memeatron AND battle it out once more. Now, the scientists must reverse what they have done, and stop the rampaging beasts before they cause total chaos.
