We Need A New Godzilla Fighting Game.

So recently, I've been replaying Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee on GameCube and Godzilla: Save The Earth on PS2, and I started thinking about what an updated version could be like, which made me realize just how little there's been in terms of recent Godzilla games. The last major Godzilla console game came out in 2014 and, unfortunately, it didn't get the greatest reception due to its slower controls. So far, the only games that have been released in recent years have been either mobile games or promotional tie-ins with other games, such as the "Operation: Monarch" event in Call of Duty: Warzone.

I think if they made a new game in the style of Destroy All Monsters Melee and Save The Earth, with updated graphics and gameplay, it could potentially be really good. With the MonsterVerse's recent success, Godzilla is much more relevant in pop culture, so it would be the perfect opportunity for a new fighting game. There technically is a MonsterVerse game in development, but not much is known about it currently, so we don't really know if it'll be a fighting game or not.

Whether it's based around the MonsterVerse, the Toho films, or both, I feel like a new Godzilla fighting game would be pretty awesome.

I like fighting games, but I feel like they are too hard to pull off successfully, and there are too many of them. Honestly I would like to see a more survival game in the city

Godzilla could possibly come to Multiversus, so we may get a semi-Godzilla fight after all.

I feel if they mainly took inspiration from Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee and Godzilla: Save The Earth, taking what worked from those games and updating both graphics and gameplay, it could work pretty well.

Thats true, I just worry about critical reception to newgodzilla fighting games. Godzilla (2014) the game did not do very well critically despite being popular with fans. 

Just wary of the whole godzilla fighting aspect however fun it is.

But those games could have really good remasters or spiritual successors.

Plus that Shin Godzilla VR showcase made for an interesting idea.

Here's an idea I had for a new fighting game centered around the MonsterVerse, made in the style of "Destroy All Monsters Melee" and "Save The Earth".

Both Factions have their own Story Mode.

The Defenders Story Mode would involve the defenders battling the destroyers and doing various "protector" challenges (such as defending Skull Island from a wave of smaller SkullCrawlers and protecting allied monsters and Monarch outposts from attacks. This storyline would result in the “Good Ending”, where Earth’s balance is restored and life returns to normal (for now).

The Destroyers Story Mode would involve the destroyers battling the defenders, destroying cities and attacking Monarch outposts. This storyline would result in the “Bad Ending”, where the world is thrown into chaos as Earth enters a new apocalyptic era.

I like the idea of a hollow earth level, and as your titan stomps around you see smaller monsters reacting and scurrying away.

My idea would be a simulator ( Xenotaris's idea ), you can choose if you want to be a hero or a villain and you can ally with different monsters. But you can only ally with monsters if you have the behavior points. For example, If you want to ally with mothra, you need enough peaceful behavior points. And the same with Ghidorah and other monsters, You can make leagues with different objectives like invasive, peaceful or defensive. This is my idea, thx for the tip Xenotaris. Oh, and you can pick what titan you want. I will make this more clear later.

I agree, the old one is realllyyy becoming predictable to me, I think that they should make a new one, it should be a lot more better than the older one, probably with more titans, they should also include the newer designs of the titans that have come out,  as well as the older ones, I also think that should make a lot more platforms, I also think that there should be more options of what you can do in the game, and an inline option so you can play online players as well,
