MemberAnguirusNov-08-2022 11:00 AMIn honor of Godzilla Day, O'Shea Jackson Jr. (who played Jackson Barnes in Godzilla: King of the Monsters) revealed an idea for a new MonsterVerse TV series that he's been developing alongside Chris Mirjahangir from Toho Kingdom, titled "Monarch: G-Team".
As the name suggests, the series would focus on Monarch and G-Team dealing with various Titan attacks around the world, with Godzilla possibly playing a large role in the story. According to Chris Mirjahangir, the series would be animated in an "anime style", similar to the upcoming Skull Island series.
On top of that, O'shea Jackson Jr. and Chris Mirjahangir also expressed interest in the series potentially featuring classic Toho kaiju, as revealed through concept art featuring Gigan and Biollante!
Descriptions of the show sound somewhat similar to Sony's "Godzilla: The Series" (The sequel to the 1998 film), which featured a group of scientist known as "H.E.A.T" (Humanitarian Environmental Analysis Team) and Godzilla traveling around the world to study and combat various mutations and monsters.
O'shea Jackson Jr. and Chris Mirjahangir hope that the project can gain enough public support, potentially leading to the series being green-lit by Legendary and Toho. O'shea Jackson Jr. also revealed that the series could possibly have up to 3 seasons, if made.
So if you like the idea for the series and are interested in the possibility of it being made, please show your support for it.

MemberGiganNov-08-2022 7:43 PMThis sounds like an amazing idea, a great way to bring back characters of both human and Titan origin.
Honestly, this idea is so genius.

MemberAnguirusNov-09-2022 6:32 AMAs excited as I am for the live action MonsterVerse Godzilla series, this feels like the type of Godzilla show that I've been wanting to see. It genuinely feels like a modern interpretation of Godzilla: The Series (which I'm personally a huge fan of), and the potential of having classic Toho kaiju makes the idea sound even cooler.
I know chances are slim, but I really hope that this gains enough support to officially be green-lit by Legendary and Toho.

MemberBaragonNov-09-2022 10:39 AMWhat if this a grand conspiracy of a red herring on legendaries part bc this actually is the show, but by having O Shea Jackson Jr say it like a pitch we won’t think it’s actually the show when in fact it actually is.
Is that too far out

MemberAnguirusNov-09-2022 11:17 AMThe upcoming Godzilla series is going to be live action, and based on the tweets from O'shea Jackson Jr. and Chris Mirjahangir, the plan was to have their show animated. The only confirmed animated MonsterVerse series is the upcoming Skull Island series.
Plus, the live action series is going to be set in between 2014 and KOTM, while this series would take place after KOTM and GvK.
So if this ended up being made, it would be it's own show, separated from the ones that are currently in production.
