My Favorite has to be Godzilla vs King Kong. Most likely cause I believe the ending could be interrupted many ways. I believe Godzilla just let Kong go because he felt sorry for the dumb ape. No way Kong could defeat the true King of the Monsters.

Godzilla vs.The Thing (Mothra) That movie had it all! Scary Godzilla, monster fights, army/Godzilla battles and the best soundtrack of any Godzilla movie. Perfect!

Hands down the original from 54. japanese version without all the raymond burr scenes...very dark and sinister, from what i understand that is what they are trying for in G 14..but i love all the films except for the 98 debacle.

Godzilla vs. Monster Zero is my favorite classic Godzilla film. The story is highly entertaining, and who couldn't like the chemistry between Nick Adams and Kumi Mizuno?
You have your fear which may become reality, and there\\\'s Godzilla, which is reality.

Godzilla vs Biollante (1989) because of the excellent special effects (The Godzilla suit, Biollante's two forms, the animation effects for Godzilla's atomic ray, the Animatronic Godzilla head that actually looks like the G-suits head and the miniatures), the musical score done by Koichi Sugiyama (As well as the first Heisei movie to have Akira Ifukube's music return), the human characters (While the acting from the English speaking actors needs work, the Japanese actors/actresses did their job well especially Megumi Odaka IMO) and the unique plot. There are a few more things but..... I think I have wrote enough.

The original Godzilla" (with or without Raymond Burr, doesn't matter) is still the best for me, but "Destroy All Monsters" has always been near the top, and "Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster" has always been a particular favorite for all the psychedelic "70's" elements (which I've always loved). Of the newer films, "Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla" has everything you could ever want in a Godzilla film, without any of the more questionable things (like singing fairies).

i feel like Godzilla vs the Thing was the best movie of the 60's. the suit is totally sinister...even the dubbing was solid...it would also mark the last time Godzilla would be like a force of nature...until the 80's i guess...

This is on of the hardest questions or m to answer I mean, who doesnt love the original masterpeice "Gojira", or the grooviness of Godzilla Vs The Smog Monster, or even the chessey yet lovable Godzilla Vs Megalon, still my favorite has always been and will always be "Son Of Godzilla", I'm sure I will be criticized but i dont care it was my overall favorite godzilla movie.

The 1974 - Godzilla vs Gigan - it was directed by Hiroshi Ishikawa and I have been a fan of his work for quite some time. It's really advanced for those days of movie making and the action movie features are nothing less than great.

No doubt the '54 Gojira with its themes and atmosphere is still the gold standard for me.
