Bandai Figures Reveal New Godzilla Design

A new Godzilla design has seemingly been discovered.

Three new Godzilla: Singular Point Bandai Movie Monster Series figures have officially been revealed. Included in the wave of figures for the new series are Anguirus, Manda... and one other "new" kaiju.

The figures have officially revealed that the name of the mysterious new red kaiju from the anime is "Godzilla Aquatilis." This comes at a surprise to many fans who thought that the creature would be a new version of Titanosaurus.

Do you think that Godzilla will evolve between several different development stages in Godzilla: Singular Point, or will the creature represent an entirely separate species/lineage altogether? Let us know your ideas in the comments below!

I called this back in October. This is based off the "Mosasaurus Godzilla" concept by Keita Amemiya. It's from the Entertainment Bible: New Edition Godzilla Encyclopedia.

I like the Anguirus figure.  It's a pretty cool design.

The idea of a Mosasaur-like Godzilla form is cool, I just don't get why they made it look like Titanosaurus.

Also, Godzilla is already amphibious, why does he need an "aquatic" form?

Apparently not...

Even though I wasn't a fan of the "Aquatilis" design, I was kind of excited to see a new version of Titanosaurus...

...now I'm just dissapointed.

Since it has dorsal fins that are identical to Godzilla, I wonder if in this anime Godzilla is the source of all life and everything originates back to him.

Cool theory.

I would rather see Titanosaurus as a spinosaurid than as a mosasaur

@Xeno

I disagree. Titano should be it’s own thing not a spinosaurid.

Without heavy spoilers, since I'm the only one here who has seen the show so far, I'll say this much. There is no confirmation that this is "THE" Godzilla in the show. There's also no indication yet that he evolves like in Shin Godzilla. So far it seems to be a totally different creature.

My theory is it's some sort of sub and/or related species to Godzilla.

But I haven't seen enough of it yet, so there's really no details.

Do you think there's any specific reason as to why it looks similar to Titanosaurus?

SasquaDash,
Haven't seen enough of him in the show yet, so no.

Ok.

Hopefully they'll give a reason for it. It's definitely an odd design choice.
